Public Health Leadership Academy (2026)
The Larson Institute School of Public Health invites emerging professionals to join the 2026 Public Health Leadership Academy, a 9-month leadership development program designed to strengthen leadership skills, systems thinking, and community impact across Nevada.
The virtual kickoff session will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (via Zoom). This cohort-based experience supports personal growth while preparing participants to lead meaningful change in public health.

Interactions Between Insect Stress and Drought Stress – Free Webinar
In this session, Desiree Wickwar, IPM Program Manager at the University of Idaho, will discuss the relationship between drought stress, drought resistance, and arthropod outbreaks across a variety of plant–insect systems. Participants will gain practical strategies for reducing insect damage during drought conditions.
The webinar will be held Thursday, March 26 at 11 AM (Pacific Time) / 12 PM (Mountain Time).
One pesticide CEU credit is available for the live broadcast (availability may vary by state).

Mom & Me Wellness Retreat (May 15–17, 2026)
The Mom & Me Wellness Retreat is a free overnight camp for women in recovery and their children (ages 5–14), held at 4-H Camp Alamo in Alamo, Nevada. This supportive weekend includes outdoor activities, mindfulness sessions, family bonding, and a special Mother’s Day brunch.
Dates: May 15 – 17, 2026
Cost: Free (scholarships provided)
