The Mizpah Hotel
The Mizpah Hotel in Tonopah, Nevada, is a historic landmark that dates back to 1907, built during the height of the silver mining boom.
At the time of its opening, it was the tallest building in the state and featured modern luxuries such as an electric elevator, steam heat, and hot and cold running water. The hotel quickly became a social and business hub for miners, investors, and visitors. After closing in 1999, the Mizpah remained vacant until 2011 when Fred and Nancy Cline, with deep family ties to the region, purchased and carefully restored it.
Today, the Mizpah Hotel blends Victorian charm with modern amenities, offering 47 guest rooms, two restaurants, and a casino. It’s also famous for its haunted reputation, including sightings of the “Lady in Red” and other spirits, adding to its allure as a historic and intriguing destination.
