Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) Training

The Tonopah Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting a 20-hour Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) Training on May 1, 2, and 3, 2026. Participants will take part in realistic simulations that build the skills, confidence, and coordination needed to respond quickly and safely during critical incidents.

Nevada Student Art Contest – America 250

Nevada students in grades K–12 are invited to celebrate our state’s role in shaping the nation through creativity. This year’s theme, “Nevada Mining Built—and Builds—America,” highlights the past, present, and future impact of mining on our country. Students can express their vision through original artwork for a chance to win exciting prizes, including an Aces baseball experience, the opportunity to throw the first pitch, and more. Entries are due by May 15, 2026—don’t miss your chance to tell Nevada’s story!

Nevada Youth Range Camp 2026

The Nevada Youth Range Camp 2026 is a unique week-long outdoor learning experience for high school students interested in natural resources, wildlife, and land stewardship.

Hosted by the Nevada Section Society for Range Management, the camp takes place June 21–27, 2026 near Berry Creek in the beautiful Schell Creek Range.

Tonopah Dental Center – Now Hiring

Tonopah Dental Center is seeking part-time Dental Assistants and Sterilization Assistants, including trainee positions ideal for high school students interested in healthcare careers. Join a team dedicated to improving access to quality dental care in Nevada’s rural communities.

Mom & Me Wellness Retreat (May 15–17, 2026)

The Mom & Me Wellness Retreat is a free overnight camp for women in recovery and their children (ages 5–14), held at 4-H Camp Alamo in Alamo, Nevada. This supportive weekend includes outdoor activities, mindfulness sessions, family bonding, and a special Mother’s Day brunch.

Dates: May 15 – 17, 2026
Cost: Free (scholarships provided)
