Tonopah Historic Mining Park – Where Mining History Comes alive!

Take a self-guided walking tour or book a guided Polaris tour. Where else can you explore a museum in an off-road vehicle?

Stand on the grated edge of the restored Mizpah Mine Shaft, illuminated by a massive LED light, and peer down into the staggering 500-foot deep stope. Your breath will catch as you realize the bottom remains just out of sight, making your heart race with awe.

The Visitor’s Center offers a bookstore, gift shop, engaging displays, and a stunning mineral collection, including fluorescent rocks that glow in the dark. Catch the 20-minute film on Tonopah’s mining heritage, giving you a deeper appreciation of the toughness and resilience of the miners and the incredible silver they hauled from deep underground.

Ready to explore?

Spanning over 100 acres, the park invites you to explore a rich tapestry of mining history—featuring original buildings, artifacts, mine shafts, drop-offs, cave-ins, and even an underground tunnel. Choose between a self-guided tour or book a thrilling two-hour guided Polaris tour for an unforgettable adventure through Tonopah’s mining legacy!
