Changes to Health Services

Northern Nye County
Hospital District

January 22, 2020

Citizens of Northern Nye County,

Please allow me to take this opportunity to give you some information regarding the upcoming changes to the available health services in our district.

It is with appreciation and gratitude that we bid farewell to Renown Medical Group telehealth and in-person clinic services at the Tonopah Clinic. They will continue to see patients for scheduled and tele-urgent care at the Tonopah Renown Clinic through Friday February 28, 2020.

Your Hospital District is making strides in the advancement of our medical services through our newest partner Central Nevada Regional Care of Las Vegas, Nevada. Look for them to arrive in our community March 2, 2020; and begin seeing patients at the current clinic facility as early as March 5, 2020.

We Encourage You to Do Two Things:

First, take the time in the coming weeks to stop by and express your thanks to our friends at the Tonopah Renown Clinic for all they have done for our community in our time of need.

Second, take a look at Central Nevada Regional Care to see just what services will be available right here in Tonopah once again. The Hospital District hosted this new group at our November 23, 2019 special meeting where their contract was discussed in great detail, including the services they would be providing. If you were unable to attend that meeting, both the minutes and a video of that discussion are available on the following website: If you are interested in employment opportunities at their new Tonopah location, or to find out if your medical insurance is accepted, you may contact them at

Looking forward!

At a time when access to healthcare remains at the forefront of our national scene, we are indeed fortunate to be one of the few places in the country making a step forward in this new year! The District couldn’t be more pleased with what CNRC plans to do. Our remote location and low population call for a dynamic model that will meet the greatest needs in the most sustainable fashion. CNRC has agreed to take on this challenge with us. Join with us in our profound hope and determination never again to allow our access to healthcare in this district to diminish.

With respect and the utmost commitment to our shared cause,

Karmin Greber, Chairman

Northern Nye County Hospital District
