The Central Nevada Museum occupies a unique place in the retelling of the annals of the West. Our rich history, which includes mining, ranching and pioneer life, the influence of the Western Shoshone, who were here before us, is presented in our state-of-the-art museum.

Tonopah Star Trails

Tonopah has some of the darkest skies in the country and is rated the #1 stargazing destination in America by USA Today.

Star Trails Website

The darker it gets, the more you can see. A brilliant 7,000 stars on clean, moonless nights, to be precise. Not to mention the magical, swirling Milky Way. You can even see stars as faint as magnitude +7.0, which is out of the question in most places.
